I started my first business at 18 — a bakery I ran out of my house. Since then, I've built and run multiple ventures: I’ve sold real estate, hosted hundreds of short-term guests, managed five Airbnbs, and owned long-term rentals — all while raising a family and keeping my businesses profitable (because we mommas put in the work).
What kept it all together? Systems and marketing.
What lit me up? Optimizing both.
Over the years, I learned how to build operational flow, manage client experience, design scalable backend systems, and market in a way that actually worked — because it had to. No safety nets. No guesswork.
I didn’t read about business in a textbook. I lived it.
I know what it’s like to build late at night after the kids are down, to scramble for year-end expenses, to duct-tape a funnel together just to keep moving. And I also know how to do it differently now — sustainably, strategically, and with a system.
That’s the work I do at Slate & Spark — so founders like you don’t have to learn the hard way.
